Reception: Aug.8, 18:00-20:00

The welcome reception, supported by Kyoto Electronics Manufacturing Co., Ltd., will be organized in the conference hall Room 1A.

Beer party 1: Aug 9 evening

Let us invite all registered attendees (including students) to the beer party supported by TA Instruments Inc. The party is organized at Uzumasa studio park, a sort of theme park in which typical sceneries of Japanese town in 18th century is reproduced. See the map and the official webpage.

We will have the party outdoors and we cannot offer a cloakroom for your baggage. Due to this situation, we suggest you to leave your belongings to your hotel before the party. (But please do not forget bringing your camera.) It is also a good idea to change into cool clothes (such as T-shirt; we have no dress code), because of the weather outside.

To the venue, we provide complimentary bus service from Kyoto Terrsa (conference place), and the bus will depart at 18:00. (Please make sure to assemble at 17:50. ) However, if your hotel is not very close to the conference place, you are suggested to take a taxi from your hotel to the studio park (to avoid walking in the hot and wet weather back to the conference place). The taxi fare is affordable, in particular if you share the ride among 3-4 people in your group.

The other option is the public transports that are convenient from Kyoto Station and Shijyo area. However, the entrance gate of the studio park (the venue) is not close to the stations and has virtually no indication along the way. Ask Japanese attendees for a guide, rather than Google map.

Please note that we use the group entrance at Castle Gate (東映城大手門) of the studio park (please refer to the map distributed on site), not the usual gate for individuals.

Excursion and Beer Party 2 on Aug 11 afternoon

On Aug.11 (Thu.), we will have the excursion and beer party supported by Anton Paar Co., Ltd. The buses for the excursion depart from the ICR2016 venue (Kyoto Terrsa) in sequence according to the destinations (excursion courses), but will be back to the venue at almost the same time before the beer party. The participants of the excursion are asked to see the on-site indication and take the bus to the right destination.

The beer party will starts at 19:00 at the Terrsa Hall (Room 1A). If you intend to skip the excursion but attend the beer party, please join us at the Terrsa Hall at that time.

The excursion tours on Aug.11 are arranged as follows;

Tour B:Uji Tourism and Hot Spring

Tour D:Kyoto Spiritual Sightseeing
Tour E:Fushimi Tourism and Sake Tasting

The tour buses will depart from Kyoto Terrsa (conference venue) at 13:00. Please make sure to assemble at 12:45. Please hand the excursion ticket to the conference officer when you get on the tour bus.

Congress Dinner on Aug 12 evening

We will have the official congress dinner on Aug.12 (Fri.) evening at the Westin Miyako Kyoto Hotel. The regular attendees and their accompanying persons, and the student attendees registered for the dinner, are suggested to come to the venue.

To the venue, we provide complimentary bus service from Kyoto Terrsa, and the departure time is 17:40. Please assemble at 17:40. However, if you change your clothes for the dinner and if your hotel is not close to Kyoto Terrsa, the best idea for you would be the use of subway, because the banquet venue is just nearby the Keage Station (the station No. T09). Taking a taxi is also a good idea, if you can share the ride among your group members. See the map for further details.

The door opening is 18:30 with mixer.
